How long will it take me to receive a check?
We generally are able to issue a check or wire transfer the funds within 24 hours after the Lien Purchase Agreement is received and approved.
Will The Money Man do a credit check or employment check?
No. No credit check is ever made with regard to your credit and No employment check is made.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount that the Money Man will advance me on my case?
The Money Man advances cash in amounts ranging from $500.00 to $100.000.00.
Must a lawsuit already be filed in order for me to get an advance from The Money Man?
No. However, we may help you find an attorney to assist you filing a lawsuit.
Are there any upfront fees?
No. There are no up front fees. The only money you will ever pay is from the proceeds of the case at the conclusion of the case once a settlement is received.
Does The Money Man get involved in my case if I get an advance?
No. The Money Man does not participate in ANY way in your law suit, including, but not limited to, the preparation of the case, the trying of the case or its settlement. The complete management of your case is handled by you and your attorney.
What type of information will The Money Man need to evaluate my case?
The Money Man may request additional information after reviewing your initial application. The additional information may include such things as the police report (if your case involves a motor vehicle accident), witnesses statements, a copy of the emergency room record, a copy of the discharge summary for any in patient hospitalizations, a recent narrative report from your treating doctor, a copy of the Complaint, if one has been filed by your lawyer, etc.
How does The Money Man determine how much it will advance to me?
Our staff looks at many things in determining how much to advance, including, but not limited to, the liability aspect of the case (that is how good a case you have), the nature of the injuries and how serious they are, whether there is any residual injury, the amount of your medical bills, the amount of your lost wages, where the case is or will be filed, how long we the anticipate the advance will be outstanding, etc.
Must I be represented by an attorney in order to get an advance from The Money Man?
No. If you do not have an attorney representing you in your claim/case The Money Man will help you find one.
Do I have to make monthly payments?
No. There are no monthly payments. The Money Man gets paid only at the end of your case from the proceeds of your case, when the case is successfully concluded.
What if I lose my case and get no money from the insurance company, will I still have to pay back The Money Man?
No. If you lose and get no settlement money, the money we advanced to you is a gift to you and is FREE.
Is this cash advance a loan? Are you extending me credit? Does it go on my credit report?
No, No and No. Since we share the risk of recovery from your lawsuit, this transaction is a cash advance, not a loan. Because it is not a loan, we are not extending you credit and it does not appear on your credit report.
